Include four useful ingredients
A focused Mission describes the type of company, its territory, a size or other fit boundary, and a commercially relevant change. Use language your team would recognise rather than a long collection of unrelated keywords.
Example: “Find UK MSPs with 20–150 employees that are hiring salespeople or have recently appointed a Commercial Director.” The example illustrates the structure of a brief; it does not imply a guaranteed result.
Review the interpretation
Tandem’s workflow turns your language into structured targeting, signal rules, exclusions and a schedule for review. Check that sector labels, company-size ranges and geographic boundaries mean what you intended.
Pay particular attention to ambiguous words such as “growing”, “local” or “enterprise”. Replace them with a condition your team can actually assess.
Start narrow, then learn
A Mission covering one useful segment is easier to judge than a brief covering every possible customer. Review the first results against the original goal before adding more sectors or signals.
Mission approval covers the approved research activity. It is not blanket approval for outreach or CRM changes.
These guides explain Tandem’s product approach and the packages described on this website. Feature access, connections and execution controls depend on your agreed package and workspace configuration.
