Tandem

Prepare your first Mission

Get your targeting, exclusions and review process clear before research begins.

Gather the business context

Start with your website, main offers, strongest customer examples and proof points. Define the sectors, territories and company sizes you serve. Add the roles that usually influence a purchase and any businesses that should be excluded.

Review any website-derived assumptions in the Company Brain rather than treating extracted information as automatically correct.

Write one focused brief

  1. Describe one customer segment, not every business you could possibly sell to.
  2. Name a relevant change to watch for, such as hiring or a leadership appointment.
  3. Set boundaries around geography, company size and exclusions.
  4. Review Tandem’s interpretation, schedule and research scope before approval.

Example: “Find UK professional-services firms with 20–100 employees that are hiring salespeople.” This is an illustrative brief, not a claim that results are already available.

Decide how results will be reviewed

Choose who will review opportunities and what makes a result worth pursuing. Check fit and evidence before spending time on contact discovery or outreach.

Keep research approval separate from contact discovery, CRM acceptance and customer-facing execution. Use the first results to refine the brief rather than immediately broadening it.

Keep your workspace in mind.

These guides explain Tandem’s product approach and the packages described on this website. Feature access, connections and execution controls depend on your agreed package and workspace configuration.
