About Tandem
We built Tandem because too much good work was getting buried under admin.
Tandem started with a simple observation: growing businesses lose a huge amount of capacity to repetitive sales, admin and operational work that software should be helping with.
The goal isn't more AI. It's better use of people's time.
The origin
It started with a problem we had ourselves.
Tandem began by building AI agents around repetitive work inside another growing business.
The answer was not to hire more people for every new layer of admin. It was to build specialist AI support around the existing team. That became the idea behind Tandem.
Why the name
Why Tandem?
Because the point is not humans versus AI. It is humans and AI working together.
What we believe
A few things we believe about AI and work.
People should keep the decisions
AI can prepare the groundwork. The accountable person should make consequential decisions.
Automate tasks, not job titles
Start with repetitive work and workflows, not the idea of replacing an entire role.
Business rules before improvisation
Where practical, defined processes should guide the system before model judgement.
Start controlled
Recommend first. Automate more only when the workflow proves itself.
Use the software already there
Do not force a business to replace everything just to use Tandem.
Measure what changed
Track time, data quality, process performance and outcomes rather than vague transformation.
Build only what is useful
AI should exist because it removes friction, not because it is fashionable.
A clear distinction
What we're not trying to be.
Tandem is a managed operating layer around the work your team already does.
The model
Build around the business.
The technology matters, but the process matters more.
Humans stay central
More capacity doesn't have to mean less accountability.
Tandem does the groundwork. Your people do the work that needs people.
How we build
Start with the work, then build the technology.
Tandem starts by understanding how work happens today. Then we design the agents, workflows, approvals and integrations around that process.

Service first, platform later
Learn from real businesses before pretending everything is standard.
Productised implementation
Build and manage Tandems around real business work.
Reusable operations
Turn repeated workflows, agent patterns and integrations into reusable components.
Configurable platform
Give companies one control layer for tools, rules and their Tandem.
Service first. Standardise what repeats. Productise what proves useful.
Client Zero
We use the same thinking internally.
The best way to understand the product is to use the same principles inside the company building it.
These are operating intentions, not claims that every system is already live.
What we're building toward
The long-term idea is simple.
- Stage 1
AI implementation
Design and build useful systems around real business processes.
- Stage 2
Productised AI operations
Reuse proven agents, workflows and integrations.
- Stage 3
AI workforce platform
Connect tools, configure rules and manage a Tandem through one control layer.
The platform should emerge from real customer patterns, not from assumptions.
Who we work best with
We work best with businesses that want practical change.
Early-stage honesty
We're early. That's intentional.
Tandem is building carefully, learning from each implementation and turning repeatable patterns into stronger systems.
We would rather publish verified results and useful systems than pretend to be further along than we are.
See how results will be measured →The brand principle
More output. Same headcount.
This is not always about reducing people. It is about creating capacity.

The team behind Tandem
Built by people who got tired of busywork.
Tandem is being built around a simple belief: growing teams should not need to add headcount every time administrative complexity increases.
Founder information will be added when an approved public biography is available.
Values
How we want to build Tandem.
Useful over impressive
Build things that solve real problems.
Clear over clever
Business users should understand what the system is doing.
Controlled over autonomous-by-default
Earn trust before increasing authority.
Measured over assumed
Track actual outcomes.
Reusable over repeatedly bespoke
Turn repeated work into better product.
Human where human matters
Do not automate judgement simply because technology makes it possible.
A grounded view of work
The future of work probably looks more like this.
The companies that benefit most from AI may not be the ones that replace the most people. They may be the ones that remove the most unnecessary work from their people's day.
