Understand opportunity scores

Read fit, timing and contact readiness as separate dimensions, not a guarantee of a sale.

Fit: is the company relevant?

Fit relates to the match between the company and your commercial criteria, such as sector, territory, size and offer relevance. A high-fit company can still be a poor immediate prospect when no useful reason to act is apparent.

Review the Company Brain and Mission when the reasoning does not reflect your real target.

Timing: why now?

Timing relates to the relevance of the observed changes and their supporting evidence. Check what changed, how recent it is and why it matters to the business problem you solve.

Good timing does not establish a budget, a buying process or confirmed intent. Keep observations and inferences distinct.

Contact readiness: can you make a relevant approach?

Contact readiness concerns the information supporting a suitable human next step, including decision-maker and contact research. It should not be confused with company fit or the strength of a Signal.

Use the overall opportunity score for prioritisation and the underlying evidence for judgement. The public site does not publish a universal scoring formula or conversion probability, so do not treat a score of 90 as a 90% likelihood of winning.

Keep your workspace in mind.

These guides explain Tandem’s product approach and the packages described on this website. Feature access, connections and execution controls depend on your agreed package and workspace configuration.
